Hundreds Queue in Dublin Street to Buy Glasses for Rare Eclipse The queue outside the Designist shop on George's Street in Dublin has become a symbol of our times.

Hundreds of people have gathered, some waiting up to two hours, to buy glasses that will allow them to witness the rare solar eclipse visible in Irish skies on Wednesday evening.

The last time an eclipse was visible from Ireland was 1999. Many of those waiting in line today are aware they won't be around to witness another one in their lifetime.
